Not only did we order a bunch of missing titles in some of our popular series, but we added some brand new titles. Check out the new titles page to see what we got in~ Oh we also got some new DVD titles in too 🙂
One graphic novel that I think is really great is Pop Gun War by Farel Dalrymple. This is a traditional graphic novel (gn) with a surreal story set in the city. Crazy characters and great art make a great gn.
The GN is for older teens~

I cannot wait for this movie! Hellboy will be out this July 11th…Who’s going? I know I am. We do have the Hellboy graphic novels at the library. We also carry the B.P.R.D. grahic novels too. If you want to find out about the movie check out this link. I have really high expectations for this movie, the director is known for excellent movies, the storyline is good, and the last movie was topnotch.
Check out this youtube video. The trailer looks excellent. It reminds me of Pan’s Labyrinth- another great movie by Guillermo Del Toro.

There will be an overhaul of the Adult and YA Manga collection. Some titles will be removed from the collection for space issues (these will be available to purchase at the semi-annual booksale at the library) and titles that have been missing from popular series will be re-ordered.
We got some of these titles and they will be available soon. You can reserve your copy by clicking on the title in the July 2, 2008- New Manga page. The titles are Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball, I.N.V.U. and Faeries’ Landing. But more titles have been ordered. Keep a lookout! 🙂
